The solo arcade mode and the duel multiplayer mode. The solo mode is a great thinking/acting fast minimalistic game with reasonable challenge, simple yet powerful leveldesign and a good overall quick to the point game. And leaderboards. The duel mode is more like a jousting/fencing game with a fine tactical sense and a demanding awareness due to "warp" walls around playfields. Not the most profound game around, but a solid simple fast action game that will really shine as a party game. Heartfully recommended !. Played this at GE2 in Seattle, immediately fell in love with the concept. Bought the 4-pack to play with friends (it's a very good party game). Would 100% getting.. Like go and galaga had a kid. 10/10Ill buy a key for the first person to beat my highscore on the globe map.. A hefty pricetag you might think? It's WORTH IT. The sheer refinement of gameplay concept, the polish and added value in features and game modes is epic. A cult classic - we'll be playing this for years.. A smart bullet-hell/shoot 'em up. A must buy for Ikaruga fans!. INVERSUS Deluxe is a well-polished and super good looking arcade game. Play vs\/co-op locally or online, with or without AI. Whether you're a casual or dedicated arcade gamer, there's a lot of content in here. This game is truly a hidden gem.. why there are so few of people. Like Go, but with guns.. Far too difficult.. I first encountered an early build of Inversus at Bit Bash 2015, and was instantly impressed. At the time, there was just multiplayer mode and only about 7 or so stages, but it was already apparent that this was something special. The core mechanics were quite simple, but allowed for impressive strategic depth, intertwining shooting with territory control. Think Othello mixed with a competitive top-down shooter.Since then, the developer has added about another 20 multiplayer stages, online play, a single-player arcade mode with 7 stages, and numerous unlockables, turning what was a promising demo into a quite compelling game.Unfortunately, matchmaking appears quite sparse at the moment, but if you have friends to play with, Inversus comes highly recommended. 1.1.2 Patch - Improved Public Matchmaking: This patch is all about making it easier for you to find games online!Primary Updates Public matchmaking will periodically search for lobbies to better match players that were left in partially filled lobbies after prior matches. Public matchmaking will search for matches from farther geographical distances if it is not finding any local games.Minor Updates Fixed a bug where the arcade score could briefly show as non-zero at the start of certain networked co-op games. Fixed a bug where a "Play Arcade While Waiting" game could be reset at unintended times.. Patch Notes 1.5.10 (bug fixes and some new unlocks): With everyone joining online for the free weekend this morning a recently introduced bug was found (oops!) that allowed players in public matchmaking to get into your private lobbies. That should be fixed now. There is a also a fix for a minor bug where going through a series of complicated steps involving the leaderboards menu and "play local game while waiting online" could cause the wrong leaderboard scores to preview after an arcade game. And just for good measure, this patch also has 4 new unlockable trails and 12 new emotes! Players with the patch are separated from players without it in online multiplayer so be sure to update! This sometimes requires logging out and into steam so it notices the new build.. Beat the Dev #3 is on Dec 10th! Play and win a Steam key!: This Saturday at 4PM Pacific we are holding the third Beat the Dev event! Winners are given a free INVERSUS key to share with a friend. The rules are simple:Head over to twitch.tv/hypersect at 4PM Pacific time and join the chat to enter and/or watch the competition. I'll invite you to a match and we play best of five maps. Each map is best of five rounds. If you win, I'll get a key sent your way. If you lose, you can try again in the next event. (In the rare case that you have internet issues and cannot hold a steady connection, you may get disqualified.)This SaturdayDecember 10th4 PM Pacific twitch.tv/hypersect Come have fun!. Patch Notes 1.7.7: You might have noticed that the game just updated, but what did it do? Today’s update tackles a couple problems!Reduced False Positives. Patch Notes 1.7.5: There's a new build of the game! So what does it do? Cloud saves are now properly working in the demo app (this was also preventing any save data from being stored by the demo). Both the full game and demo support running with either DirectX 11 or DirectX 9. If you have an older video card and want to use DirectX 9, just right click INVERSUS in your steam library and select the appropriate option to play. Improved error message for when running the DirectX 11 version of the game on an incompatible video card.I also have a request for anyone playing online! The INVERSUS networking tech depends on each player's computer generating the exact same results. With the new addition of separate DX11 and DX9 builds of the game, it is a bit trickier to make sure they remain perfectly the same (I'll skip the details of why). If an online game does ever go out of sync, it results in a "Network Error Occured" message. Things look to be pretty stable, but if you do start seeing this error message, let me know by emailing support@hypersect.com so I can fix any issues!
